WCAG 2.1 extends WCAG 2.0 with additional success criteria that improve coverage for mobile accessibility, people with low vision, and people with cognitive and learning disabilities while retaining the same four principles and conformance levels.

Standards and scope

The voiqq WCAG 2.1 library includes applicable WCAG 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 criteria through the selected A, AA, or AAA target. WCAG 2.2-only criteria remain outside the project and report scope.

  • Level A includes all WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 criteria assigned to Level A.
  • Level AA includes applicable Levels A and AA from WCAG 2.0 and 2.1.
  • Level AAA includes applicable Levels A, AA, and AAA from WCAG 2.0 and 2.1.
  • Version-sensitive automation filters axe-core candidate mappings before they enter the project.
  • The VPAT snapshot and DOCX renderer use the WCAG 2.1 configuration and template.
