A wide project table can become difficult to scan, but hiding the wrong field can make daily work confusing. The three visibility choices let you decide where a field belongs.
Compact view
Check Compact when the field should appear in the short working table. Compact view is useful for the small set people check repeatedly, such as Bug ID, Summary, Severity, Status, Assignee, and Actions.
Full view
Check Full when the field should appear in the detailed table. Compact and Full are separate choices. A field may appear in either view or in both.
Details Panel
Details Panel controls the drawer location. When checked, the field appears under View Details. When unchecked, the field appears under View More Details. The field must still have Compact or Full checked before it can appear in either accordion.
Hide a field everywhere
Uncheck both Compact and Full to hide the field from both table views and from the finding drawer. The field remains available in Edit Table, so you can turn it on again later. If the field is optional and you delete it, it is removed from the project instead.
Simple examples
- Compact checked, Full unchecked: the field appears only in Compact table view and in its chosen drawer accordion.
- Compact unchecked, Full checked: the field appears only in Full table view and in its chosen drawer accordion.
- Compact and Full checked: the field appears in both table views and in its chosen drawer accordion.
- Compact and Full unchecked: the field is hidden from both tables and both standard drawer accordions.
